Look Great and Beat The Chill with The North Face Extreme Line

In 1966 two hiking enthusiasts from San Francisco's North Beach, resolved to follow their passions and founded a small mountaineering retail store. Started in 1968, The North Face, favoured by avid outdoor athletes, began sponsoring expeditions. The tradition continues in full force today and reinforces The North Face brand mantra, "Never Stop Exploring".
By the early 1980's, The North Face was taking exploration to the outer limits of the ski world, adding extreme skiwear to the product offering. It was designed for the skiers that laid the groundwork for today's free-spirited snowsports athletes. This is one amazing jacket from The North Face Extreme line. The design and colours are influenced from the fashion of the times - pastels, neons, hair dye, and mohawks.

Apt909 is happy to offer this rare find to our dandies who want to look fab despite the weather!

Made of "ULTREX"
(100% nylon coated with a micro porous polyurethane base)

The colour combo, the drop waist style and amazing fabric are the added bonus to an excellent technical performance hoodie, just ask any serious skier. It gets 4.5 stars out of 5 in reviews on gear review. As one ski instructor said in his 5 star rating "You can't buy these anymore, but grab one if you can!"

The best of The United Colors of Benetton circa 1980

From Italia circa 1980's, produced by the United Colors of Benetton.
At this time Benetton was employing the entire town of Trevisa Italy. Everything was done there - design, manufacture, even the runway show.
These beauties, made from cowhide, are patterned to mimic zebra. It's the classic oxford, but with the 1986's new wave movement influence they come to a sharp point.

The sole + stacked heel are leather

A Signature Piece from Mr. Dino

This glorious velveteen ski jacket is from designer Mr. Dino, one of vintage's very collectible labels in much the same vein as Pucci, but with its own cache.
Out of N.Y.C, Paris and Florence, the label was very popular during the 1960's + 1970's. It is from a line that included maxi skirts and vests. The screen print is influenced by Africa using very modern shades of pink, violet, lime, forest green and electra blue on a cream background. Within the black line work, we are happy to report, is the Mr. Dino signature.

Fun & Sporty COMME des GARÇONS at Apt909

One of Japan's most important names in exportable fashion + highly respected worldwide, from Tokyo, Japan, Rei Kawakubo's COMME des GARÇONS. Interestingly the name translates to "like the boys",
which at that time, late 70's early 80's, it was," like the boys" in Japanese fashion. But this was non-traditional design, she redefined the norm in womenswear in the west as well as the east.
Draping the body with a different consideration of body line and shape. Initially misunderstood, she became iconic in status and has influenced many young designers of the day.
She is a goddess.

These : black suede & rubber Mary-Janes with silver tone metal buckle. Made in Japan (she has a team of expert seamstresses and shoemakers)
